Not all Reviews are Created Equal

We all love a great 5 star review, it's that boost of confidence that you are doing things right, it's wonderful confirmation. And as a business owner it's important to see what is happening in the city, so I was looking at some reviews of other salons and realized it's very important to read them and not just count the stars. As I started reading the reviews of another salon I was rather surprised, they had a LOT of 5 stars but the reviews themselves were not very complimentary, making me wonder why people dole out 5 stars for less than perfect service, it's like being expected to tip for bad service at a restaurant. I'm happy to say that we spend the time to read and thank our reviewers, in fact we've had a few that were a 4 star with the comment that there is always room for improvement and I could not agree more, we strive to do our best and we're always welcome to feedback. In short, I've learned that when looking at reviews I'll always dig a little deeper and make sure to read them as well.
